Hi, I’m Kimee —
a curious traveler and creative dreamer with a love for all things beautiful. I’ve always been drawn to aesthetics that tell a story, from the clean lines of brutalist and mid-century modern design to spaces that feel both thoughtful and functional.
So far, I’ve wandered through over 16 countries and 56 major cities, soaking in the magic of each place.
Some places feel like they’ve become a part of me. The Yucatán Peninsula is one of them—it’s where my love for Mexico grew roots. And then there’s Mexico City, a vibrant whirlwind of life, color, and the kind of architecture that takes your breath away. It’s a place I return to again and again, like catching up with an old friend.
Japan, though, is in a league of its own. It’s a country that feels like calm wrapped in creativity. I can’t wait to go back for a third time to wander its quiet streets, indulge in incredible food, and soak up its rich art and culture. Other places, like the sun-drenched landscapes of Greece, the ancient wonders of Egypt, and the otherworldly beauty of Arizona, have left me awestruck in their own ways.
Art has always been a constant in my life.
I’ve been lucky enough to experience works by contemporary legends like Yayoi Kusama, James Turrell, and Tadao Ando in museums and galleries around the world. Their creations inspire me to see things differently, to embrace how art can transform even the simplest moments.
Now, I’m taking everything I’ve seen, felt, and learned and pouring it into something close to my heart: a creative memoir. Taking cues from Virgil Abloh’s ethos of blending art and life seamlessly, this collection of stories and reflections from my a decade spent exploring the world and discovering how art, design, and travel can change the way we see ourselves and everything around us.
